Details

This is a real cut from our Standard walnut Acupanel, 30cm by 12cm, not a printed swatch. The Standard finish uses an engineered wood veneer, which means the grain and tone stay consistent from panel to panel across an entire wall. If you are covering a large area and want an even, predictable result, this is the finish to look at. Slats are mounted on an acoustic felt backing that helps soften echo in a room.

Standard or Premium Oiled?

This is the difference worth understanding before you order.

Standard uses an engineered wood veneer. Grain and colour are consistent panel to panel, so a large wall reads as one surface.

Premium Oiled uses a natural wood veneer finished with a danish satin oil. It has more depth and variation, and no two panels are quite identical.

Neither is better. It depends on whether you want uniformity or natural character. Many people order both samples and decide in the room.

Ready for the full panels?

Samples are sized for matching colour, grain and profile. To clad a wall or build a feature, order the full panels.

How big is the sample?

Each Acupanel sample measures 30cm long by 12cm wide, cut from a real panel.

That is large enough to judge colour, grain and the slat profile in your own light, and to hold up against flooring, joinery or paint before you decide.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Is the Standard finish real wood?

Yes. It is an engineered wood veneer, made from real wood and manufactured for consistency. That is what allows the grain to match across a whole wall rather than varying panel to panel.

Will my panels look exactly like this sample?

Yes. The Standard range uses an engineered veneer built for exactly that, so the sample in your hand is what arrives on your wall. Every sample is cut from the same panels we ship.

Can I order more than one sample?

You can order one of each colour. Most people order two or three to compare finishes side by side in their own light, which is the only way to judge a wood finish properly.

Are samples refundable?

Samples are non-returnable. At $0.99 each, they're a low-cost way to check a finish before a full order.
